No. No, no, no, no, no. This day was never supposed to come. For two years I’ve stood steadfastly by the claim that the Revelation would NEVER get its very own website up and running due to the sheer amount of time and effort required--far more than I would have ever expected from the newspaper’s small, teenage staff. Once again, however, fate and irony have proved their enjoyment at proving me wrong,and now not only do we have a site, but I’m the one running it. Didn’t see that one coming, did you?
To be honest, I’m actually pretty excited about this website. My only concern is how difficult it is to attract teenagers to anything that so much as even resembles news. Despite how much time teens seem to be spending on the computer in the current age, they all seem to suddenly disappear when a website requires that they read any more than a status update of what their friends are eating for breakfast or a condensed guide of the most efficient way to disengage the brakes on the nearest Hummer. Not to worry though, I have devised a brilliant advertising campaign that is sure to reach the school’s students walking through our halls. The tattoo artist is in and I am currently trying to get the principal to agree to a schoolwide “shirts optional” policy.
Until then though, check back on this site often for frequent news updates and blogs by staff members here at the Revelation. It should be an interesting ride.
